Residual
Income - also known as recurring or passive income, is income that is
earned repeatedly for work done once. Royalties on a famous
song or book are a classic example of residual income.
For the average person, building online wealth through residual income
would appear to be a faraway dream. It need not be
so, Network marketing (aka referral marketing, direct
marketing) offers a relatively cheap and simple way to build a residual
income. The global marketplace of the internet makes this
even more of a possibility.
Consider the following example. Suppose you watch a great
movie which you think is brilliant. You then
recommend this movie to five of your friends. Let us also
suppose that the owners of the movie pay you for each person who views
the movie. The payment is $1 per person. You would
be paid $5 for having recommended the movie to five of your friends.
So far it is ok but nothing to shout and scream about. Now
suppose the movie owner offered the same deal to your friends but at
the same time offered to pay you as well as them $1 a piece.
Lets say they, like you, recommend the movie to five other
people. This now means your immediate friends get, like you,
$5 each. However you get a dollar for each of their referrals
(5 friends x 5 friends referred). You would have $25. Much
better, but still not brilliant. Move this forward another 3
levels so that every one in your downline is given the same opportunity
5 levels deep. Here is the full scenario:
Now thats more like it!. An income of almost $4000. Imagine if this opportunity was offered to you on a monthly basis. This is the great thing about Network Marketing and the most beautiful part is that you do not have to keep repeating the work!. Do it once and you have an ongoing income.
